The 1972 - Silver Wedding Anniversary Crown
The wedding of Princess Elizabeth and Prince Philip of Greece and Denmark took place at Westminster Abbey on the 20th of November 1947. Elizabeth was subsequently crowned queen in 1953, and twenty-five years later, in 1972, The Royal Mint produced a special commemorative Crown to celebrate the anniversary.
All of our original, 1972 Silver Wedding Anniversary Crowns, were made by the Royal Mint, and come in a first-class protective capsule. Each one is elegantly presented in one of our own display boxes.
